search complaints via dates Valid_from , Valid_to or Requested End not possible?

Hello Experts,

we like to search Complaints in WEB-UI by "Requested Start" or "Requested End" date.

If try to this search in WEB-UI  via  "start date" , the search results never shows the correct items. We assume that "starte date" in the query means the "Requested Start" form the complaints details.

Is there a special customizing necessary that the dates "Requested Start" or "Requested End" are taken into account?

Which date fields in the complaints details need to be filled that we can use  the valid_to ("end date") or valid_from ("start date") in the query?

Hi Matthias,

I was investigating the Standard Complaint Search Functionality from SAP CRM Web UI. But I am unable to find any Start/End Date fields other than the Posting Date. And this posting date is a Date Range which searches the results which matches the range.

I have also checked the standard search Object in the GENIL Model Browser - SE11  Structure - CRMST_QUERY_COMPL_BTIL. But here there are no fields with Start/End Dates.

I have attached a screen shot.

Please let me know how you are using the date to search the complaints. Based on that we can proceed and and check for a feasible solution.

You can use the View Configuration to bring these field on the screen.

Here the technical infos:

Which fields in the Complaints must be filled ( customized, whatever ) to be able to use these search parameters?

Many thanks for you reply.

To bring those fields, you need to perform the below steps:

1. Enhance Component - BT120S_CPL with an Enhancement Set

2. Enhance the View AdvSearchComplEF.

3. Add the fields VALID_FROM and VALID_TO to the configuration. And Save the configuration.

4. Login to Web UI with the SERVICEPRO Role and navigate to Complaint Search. You can find the fields START DATE and END DATE.

The fields are available now and will be part of your search query.

Also, kindly note that in any one order document the DATE Customization is present and there are a lot of dates available(Request Date, Planned Dates, etc.). You need to check the DATE Customization settings for that Transaction Type. Let me know if you need further help regarding the same.
