Transaction category

In the Node of Assignment of MCC to Transactio Key I see only 8 Transaction Categories
1. Flight
2. Travel Costs, Car
3. Meals
4. Flight
5. Rail Travel
6. Car Rental
7. Other
8. Accommodations

DO I need to create more transaction categories for various MCC.
Like for 3000 - 3298 merchant category codes, I can create Transaction Key FLIGHT..... and assign it to Transaction Category FLIGHT,
But there are several other MCCs I do not see a relevant Transaction category. For example for MCC for Financial Services ( range 6060 - 6500)
I can create transaction Key FINAN..... and assign to Transaction Category OTHER. Or I should create a new Tr Category say FINANCIAL? Any thought.
I could not find a place to create a new transaction category though so I was thinking if this
is really required. Because we eventually assign the Transaction Key to an expense type. Can someone please suggest.

Thanks

W

      Hi William,

from my understanding these categories are hard coded.

So if you stay in SAP standard you have to live with this.

Standard is to assign other categories to "OTHER" and than the user needs to assign to a proper expense type.

Specially if the merchant can be everything and nothing related to travel.

Or you enhance the solution by own uploads to fits to your needs.

      Best regards,

      Sigi
