SAP WOM blank screen using IE

Hi Experts,

I'm kind of new to Web Order Management Portal support so can anyone please help me with my issue?

The problem I have is that when I make an order in the webshop using IE8. I get a blank page after submitting the cart.

But when I do this using Firefox, it goes through without a problem.

Also, I get this error message in IE.

I copied the error details to notepad and this is what it says:

Webpage error details

User Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 8.0; Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; Trident/4.0; SLCC2; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; .NET CLR 3.5.30729; .NET CLR 3.0.30729; Media Center PC 6.0; InfoPath.3; .NET4.0C; .NET4.0E; MS-RTC LM 8)

Timestamp: Mon, 27 Jan 2014 15:30:53 UTC

Message: Object expected

Line: 2311

Char: 5

Code: 0

Already checked in OSS and the webshop should be compatible with IE6 - 10.

Any idea on what causes the issue for IE?

Thanks for the help!

Some ideas that might cause the issue:

    - Different internet zones, try to add the portal and backend in the same Internet Zone (e.g. intranet);

    - Try to find out what the webpage expects: which object needs to be set? (open source code of and goto line 2311)

    - Try different browsers (Interoperability, Browser & Cross Platform Testing | Modern.IE)

    - Try compatibility mode.

    Good luck!
