    Hi Andrea,

I create Ad hoc query (HR Personnel Administration reporting) with reporting period, reporting set (where I chose organization unit) and fields selection and then Isave the query. When I open again saved query, data in reporting period and fields selection are saved, but not the reporting set (I lost organization unut)?

    Hi Omid,

No in Field group/fields, in part named "Reporting set", under the "Reporting period" and above Field group/fields. I chose "Persons along organizational structure" and then I chose organizational unit. When I re-open only that part is reset to "Unrestricted" (No. of hits).

      Hi Tatjana

im almost there, i did what you said but restriction remain as desired

let me tell you steps i did:

sq01, switch to standard area, click on infoset query and choose template infoset. In the infoset query, expand reporting set and choose persons along blablabla instead of no.of hits. From field group/fields on left pane expand organizational assignment and flag organizational key to select and output.

Click save, choose a name of query and click confirm. Restart sq01 then select your query, click on infoset query and here you should find what you configured

      Let me know your thoughts

      hi

let's try to give a look to the user group, are you in the assigned users? change flag?

Can you try to create a copy of your user and repeat the same process?

is your infoset based on logical database pnpce?

      Let me know

My user is assigned user ti the user group and logical database is pnpce.

Sorry, but I do not understand what to do with my copied user.

Do you mean to remove from this list and add user again to that list?

      hi Tatjana

i believe you gave me right hint, why are you using a std user group and btw probably in a cross-client global area?

Is it really really really the requirement?

last but not least doing the same steps with /sapquery/h2 gave me same misbehaviour but forcing a bit the changes to standard infoset(which i dont recommend) it worked...

let me know if your rather prefer to follow the recommended way with custom user group in client specific standard area

      cheers

It is a Standard Area (Client-specific) but no reason why I use std user group.

I would like to do the recommended way with custom user group in client specific standard area.

    Dear Tatjana,

Pls follow the Following steps for Ad_hoc_query

    (a) Tcode SQ03 - Go to Environment > Query Area > Standard Area (Client Specific)

    (b) Give your User name and save

    (c) Go to Tcode SQ02 - Set up Infoset with logical Database PNPCE/PNP and assign to User with Generate Icone

    (d) Go to Tcode SQ01 - Create Query with the Selected Infosets. Here define the Selection and Output parameters from available Infosets.

    (e) Save these entry with variant and go for execution.

Try this and get back if more help required.

    Regds,

    Baidyanath
