Hi All,

Getting below error while trying to login into http://<hostname>:<port>/irj/portal. We have assigned one inbuilt role a user in DEV system. While login in we getting below error. We are on NW 7.31 with SAP EC 3.0 (add-on).

"Error component failed , reason : Access is denied: pcd:portal_content/every_user/general/defaultAjaxframeworkContent/com.sap.portal.contentarea - user"

The same role is working in ACC.

Please let me know if any one has already faced such issue and found the correction.

Thanks,

Naveen

Hi naveen.kumar40 : Your issue should be resolved using this KBA: 1955041 - Error when users access portal using Ajaxframework page.

Check portal content permissions as per this document

I didn't change the default permissions. As said the same is working in ACC. Would there be anything else to check?

Did you compare permissions between DEV and ACC for that object?

Yes, I did....and both are same.

Hi,

The default permissions are not enough. You always have to configure additional permissions to the portal, as described in the permissions howTo guide.

You can have a look at the following troubleshooting guide that might help you analyze the issue:

It contains also references to the different HowTo guides according to versions.

If it does not help, and the additional permissions were set to the every_user folder, then please attach the default trace part with the full stack trace containing the Access Denied error.

Please also attach the permission editor screenshot with the permissions set for the problematic object (the URL in the exception).

Thanks & regards,

Check the authorization of the pages and iviews assigned to the role. It must be restricting the your user..
