Hello All,
When creating the service confirmation from the service order, the system is throwing an error of the date rule
As per the post below a date rule must be assigned to the date types
Date Profile error in Service confirmation | SCN
However the date rule is assigned to the date type bill_date(screen shot attached)
The date rule is also assigned to the date type
Please advice if I am missing any configurations
Kind Regards
Atul
Hi Atul,
Please check if you have assigned a date profile and relevant configuration to the header level also.
The error you have mentioned seems to be on the header level.
let me know if that resolves the issue.
thanks,
Pritesh

Hi Pritesh,
Thanks for the prompt reply, appreciate the same, my issue got resolved, have a few queries before I close this.
1) What status should I set so that my service confirmation is confirmed.
2) My Service confirmation comprises of service hours performed by a service technician hence after the service confirmation is closed in SAP CRM, will a sales order(debit memo request get triggered in SAP ECC) or will an internal order get triggered first in SAP ECC.
Appreciate all your help in resolving all my queries.
Kind Regards
Atul
Hi Atul,
1. Status on service confirmation should be set to COMPLETED for the service confirmation to get confirmed actually.
2. Yes a debit memo request will get triggered in ECC automatically once you complete the confirmation. (assuming you have done the item category related settings for external billing in CRM and for DMR mapping in ECC).
3. For internal order : There are two possibilities :
a. If you hav a preceeding transaction to the service confirmation, then the internal order would have already been created for it. A follow up confirmation will only result in update of this internal order. No seperate internal order would be created when you complete the confirmation.
b. If this is a stand alone confirmation, a new internal order will be created for this confirmation.
Completing the confirmation causes updation of ACTUALS on the internal order in both the cases.
Hope that answers your queries.
Thanks,
Pritesh
Hi Pritesh,
Thank you very much for helping out, appreciate all your help, since we have an ecc system hence the internal order will get generated in sap ecc once the service order is created in SAP CRM since from the service order the service confirmation would be done.
Does the internal order also require configurations to be done and with what reference do I need to view the internal order in SAP ECC.
Kind Regards
Atul
Hi Atul,
You can view the internal order in ECC in Tcode - KO03.
There is a field called "Business Transaction" when you try to search using F4. In this field you can enter your CRM Service Order number, it will fetch the relevant internal order.
Please note that by standard the internal order is of the type "SAPS" . if you have defined your own internal order Z Type, thn change the search criteria accordingly.
Internal order posting can be achieved by controlling related configurations on the transaction and item categories.
Thanks,
Pritesh
