Xcelsius 2008 stopped responding

Hi there,

I am working with Xcelsius 2008 to build a dashbaord. Unfortunately I cannot work with Dashboard Design, as it collapses everytime I try to open it. But that's not the issue.

My problem is that Xcelsius stopped working properly. The format of all new added items don't change anymore, which means that I cannot see any optical changes that I do. After trying to close the program and open it again around 20 times, I discovered that now even my dashboard is broken. When I click on preview or even export the dasboard, I can only see zero values. I have been working on this dashboard for weeks and I was almost finished, which makes me very desperate. Can anybody help me please?

Thank you very much!

Warmest,

Esra

Check if there is a Excel*32 program running from the task manager..

If there is one try killing it from task manager and start up the dashboard once again..

    Hi Esra,

Please let me know if you are using Office 2013.

    Thanks,

    Hi Mishra,

    hi Amit,

Thanks for your comments. I use Office 2010. I have been able to recover my dashboard, which means thatI can now preview the correct charts and values. However, as the dashboard is quite complex with many charts on top of each other, I copied and pasted every chart, so they look exactly the same and are placed correctly, too. But all of a sudden the copied charts do not look the same anymore. The format is set to default and I cannot see any optical changes that I make anymore. Do you possibly know how I can fix that?

    Thanks a lot for caring.

    Warmest,

    Esra

it's not just the color. Usually, when I copy a chart or a grid with values (such as in the screenshot), I dublicate exacly the same item with the same "apperance" settings. But now, my pasted items have only the default settings. This would not be a problem, if I was able to change the format to how I wanted it. Here is where the issue lies. I cannot change the optic of any new items anymore. Eventhough when I change the settings, I cannot see it.

Do you know what I mean? Have you come across this before?

I run Office 2010. Yesterday, I was able to fix my problems. For the preview-issue, I received professional help from a colleague but for the "copy & paste" problem, I just changed to the newest version of Dashboard Design and restarted the program a few times. I don't know why but the problem was solved.
