Hi All, I have made a WebI report and displaying it as a open document in the portal. i want to ask if there is a way to control the display of Left Pane, Report tab and Status Tab so that they never show up when the report opens. Is there any way to turn it off when the report is run. We are currently on SAP BO 4.0 SP4 Patch 14. Are there any settings we can do in the Webi designer?
Did you already try to close that left pane and save the report like that?

Hi Shweta,
The left pane display is controlled by the user settings. When a user opens a webi document for the first time, the left pane is displayed by default. After that the state of the left pane is saved in user settings.
The OpenDocument link does not control the display of the left pane.
Perhaps you can use a non-documented parameter that allows displaying webi DHTML in let say “light” mode. You just have to add to the OpenDocument URL the parameter : mode=win.
Hi Bruno, thanks i did not find any such option for open documents. For mode there are only 2 parameters "full" and "Part" applicable only for crystal reports.
I think this point might be true which you mentioned . "The left pane display is controlled by the user settings. When a user opens a webi document for the first time, the left pane is displayed by default. After that the state of the left pane is saved in user settings." Since i have saved my setting like that after i displayed the report it does not display the tabs and the status bars for me now but for other uses it does.. guess some localization setting of the report.
Thanks
Shweta
