SAP System always allow you change your Bill of materail (Standard functionality) whether it's related production order closed, planned or released. There should be some external restriction (Store Procedure) which restrict you to update exisiting Bill of Materail. You have to disable the restriction first then only you can update the Bill of material.
For Your refence please follow the screenshot given below...`
I have already close production order as you can see in screenshot below..
Now If I want to change my related Bill of Material then system allow me to change.
After Updatation of Bill of Material as you can see in screenshot..
Now If you are using MS-SQL as DB then you have to follow these steps to disable the Store Procedure...
1. Open MS-SQL
2. Select the database.
3. Select your Company Database For Example (Comapny DB - SBODemoIn)
4. Follow the Screen Shot..
5. Click on Programmabilty it will show you list of store procedures. Choose SBO_SP_TransactionNotification and select it and click on right click and choose modify
6. Now Select the SP which mentioned on right hand side and make it as comment. Please refer Screenshot.
8. Select Black bordered area in your SP and Click On Comment button then execute it.
9. After that update your BOM.
Note: Before updating the SP make sure what is the puppose of this SP and how much it is neccessary for your Client business process.
