Changelist in limbo

Former Member

All,

I have a weird issue on hand. Looks like one of my ID changelist is in limbo. The channels that are part of this changelist now show status as 'In Process' on the top right of communication channel window. If i try to edit it or activate it from the CC itself it says 'ChangeList dosen't exist'. I do not see the changelist under my name anywhere. However the other users see the same channel status 'Active', however if they try to update the channel they get an error message saying 'this object is in my changelist (Changelist ID: 7f7a5cfe-7faf-11e3-98f7-00000070828a) already'. However I do not see the changelist under my name at all.nor do other users see my changelist.
I also tried to get the status of the changelist using the changelistin webservice through NWA. I get a response back saying that '7f7a5cfe-7faf-11e3-98f7-00000070828a' does not exist.

Till this issue is  resolved no one can make change to about 30 channels that were part of this changelist.

Please advice.

Hi Vicky - Can you check if your objects are locked under your user?

go to Exchange profile->directory tab->Lock Overview or /nwa/locks

If you can see them then you can remove the lock so that objects will get released

Did you get this warning?

1594027 - Changelist could not be locked

No.

However I did find the following note: 1399960 - Database Inconsistency for changelists in PI

BASIS is looking into this. Looks like these are Java schema table queries.

Hi Vicky,

Yes, these are Java schema queries. Run the queries in note 1399960 and open a support ticket with SAP. They should then be able to give you a query to fix the error.

Regards

Mark
