Hello,
We want to inventory a material whose stock is zero.
This material is in storage location managed with HU.
When we want to create an inventory document for this material it’s impossible because no HU is found.
We have the case in MM inventory (transaction HUINV01) and in WM inventory (transaction LICC).
Is it possible to inventory materials managed with HU whose stock is zero ?
Have a look into KBA 1619321 - Error L3 785 in transaction LI11N
it explains the general process for found handling units in physical inventory

if you don't have stock then how could find those HUs?
Sounds silly, but I actually think that the situation is not understood.
I know you found physical stock, while you have no book stock in SAP.
SAP is only able to count existing HUs
Hence the note explains that you have to create stock with a 501 movement to be able to count it.
the inventory document cannot create HU stock from scratch, like it is possible other found stock (but even for batch stock it is already difficult, if the batch never existed in the location where it is found)
For this materiel managed with HU :
- physical stock = 0
- stock in SAP = 0.
This material appears in the inventory planning.
My problem is : how to inventory this material with quantity 0 ?
I want to validate that the material has been inventoried (with zero stock) and disappears from the inventory planning.
