Asset retirement by Scrapping ABAVN - asset value date

Dear Gurus,

We recently migrated to ECC6 from SAP 4.7.

When I run T code = ABAVN =

1. I set asset value date >15 Jan 2014 ( eg: 16 Jan, 22 Jan 2014), the simulation becomes:

1,020,799.10

( accumulative depreciation until Dec 2013 <1,017,890.84> + Jan 2014 depreciation <2,908.26> )

40 981000 (SALES OF FIXED ASSET) 26,174.34

2. I set asset value date <=15 Jan 2014 ( eg: 1 Jan, 14 Jan 2014), the simulation becomes:

PK Short Text Amount 75 213456 -1,046,973.44 70 213456 1,017,890.84 (accumulative depreciation until dec 2013) 40 981000 (SALES OF FIXED ASSET) 29,028.60

Additional information for asset no : 213456

Cap date : 30.11.1984
Depre key : LINS

Useful Life : 30 years

Ordinary depreciation start date : 01.11.1984

My question are:

1. If I set asset value date > 15 Jan 2014, why the depreciation is added with January 2014 Depreciation, though I haven't posted January 2014 depreciation?

2. Previously when we used SAP 4.7, though we set the asset value date after mid of the month (any date of the month), the calculated depreciation is always without adding that current month depreciation (like example no 2 above). Any setting which I need to check?
