"Event Wait" status

Hi all,

I have two jobs (both event triggered).

In CPS Job monitor, status of Job A is showing "Event Wait".

In same CPS job monitor, the Job B does not show "Event Wait".

But both are running perfectly fine.

Then why is the difference in status.

Also I checked for Job A whether it is also submitted based on a time window. But it is not.

Please clarify.

Could you please edit the job a and check if you did configuration of "Wait Events" function.

Hi Gao Feng,

Both the jobs have an event in their "WAIT EVENT" tab.

also both have AUTO SUBMIT as ALWAYS

CLEAR EVENT is TICKED

Hi Ramakrishnan,

Are you sure Job A was submitted by the event ? It looks like somebody else submitted it, or it was submitted by an event and is waiting on another. It might also be a restart/resubmit of a job that was fired by the event.

if auto-submit and clear event are both set, there is no way it could get stuck in event wait ...
