Unable to access Q2 notification as GR material document in it is archived

Hello Friends,

I am unable to access my old Q2 notification even in display, as GR material document referred in it is now archived. Did anyone faced this issue before. If I open the Q2 Notification, I get an error that, "the material document does not exists" and I cannot browse further in QM03/ Display of notification. If anyone know a solution, please let me know. Can we do anything in archiving to prevent such situation in future.

Thanks

Vineeth

This issue is resolved with implementation of SAP OSS-Note 1726734,1881514,1836440.

Now notifications can be accessed, even if they have archived Material Documents referenced in it.

Closing this ticket now.

Interesting.. I would have thought the archiving of the Material Document would have been blocked until the notification was also blocked. archived.

Usually for archiving, there are specific rules that must be followed.  I'm not an archiving expert however.

I don't think you are going to have much luck unless you restore the original document and I have no idea on how to do that.

I think you may need to contact SAP directly on this and open up a ticket with them.

Dear Craig,

It is after a long time we interact each other and I thank you for the reply.

I doubt that this issue came up after recent activation of Business Function in the respective production system. I am also not sure whether this behavior has anything to do with below mentioned switch which existed in program from 2010 onwards. Details are as below.

program name : SAPMQM00

screen number : 3011

switch called modules : MODULE mblnr_lesen_qmart_chg SWITCH qm_sfws_ui_qqm_change_type

Did anyone face a similar situation before, if so pleas advice.

Thanks

Vineeth
