I want to enter a short text to the production orders as an identification. Which field is the best choice (retrievable in coois)?

I want to enter a short text to production order as an identification. e.g. A1 for order#100001, A2 for order#100002. Which field is the best choice? I want it can be pulled from COOIS. Thanks!

    Hi Ray,

    You can use unloading point from the order. This is also visible in COOIS item list.

    Hi Ray,

    Use the field Sequence Number in Assignment tab - under Assignments in CO02. In COOIS also you can input the sequence number to fetch the required production orders. Only limitation is you can input numeric only.

    Hi King

    You can enter your text in production order as you said but it is not possible to look the text in COOIS report. In COOIS report we can identify wether text is entered or not.If value is "X" it means that text is there.To read this there is a function module READ_ TEXT.You can write program and download in to excel.
