N level Approval workflow for Documents

Hi Experts,

i have a requirement in document management system (DMS).
prepare one document type with 5 statuses(draft, initiate, In review,approve, reject).

and creating a document 'Standard operating Procedure' in cv01n

when the document is created, the status will be  'draft'.
whenevr the document status changed to 'initiate' a workflow should be triggered.

in the workflow,
i have n levels of approval. during each successful approval the status moves to 'in review'  and finally moves to 'active'  when the final approval happens.
but the status is moved to 'Draft' if rejection happens at any level.

is there any standard workflow available for this?

i have done enough searching, but unfortunately whatever the standard workflow ids given are not available in our system (i dont know why its so),

hope you will keep in mind that m new to 'workflows'

Hi Experts,
Thanks for your replies.
The Workflow is finished with all requirement.

there is no standard workflows found for my requirement but 3 or 4 standard tasks are available.
I Created a Custtom Workflow.

Business Object is 'DRAW'.
We can Create a subtype and include the methods according to our rquirement.
Workflow gets triggered when the CHANGED event is happeneing according to certain conditions(in my case).

but i could not found WS40500038 (the above mentioned item) in our Workflow Template Repository.

the thing is here, they have mentioned its 'user status'  but i need 'document status'. i would be so happy if you can help me finding a standard workflow for Document staus change or suggest ways to find it.

Hi,

Generally you Status can be link with Event to trigger workflow through BSVW transaction.

  But if document status is not maintained through that, you can find any change document trigger or not for Status change, if yes then link the change document with events to trigger workflow thorugh SWEC transaction

Hi Anjan,

while maintaining/configuring/setting status for a Document Type through SPRO, we have the option to trigger workflow.( i will see it if i required to create a custom WF).

but i would like to know if there is any standard workflows are availbale, My senior wants me to search and use the standard WFs. i have been searching on the same since yesterday, could you please help me with that

I don't know much on DMS, but I checked some posts; they say that there is no standard WF. You will have to build one and involve a Workflow Consultant.

Hi Sebin,

If the standard workflow are missing, you can still proceed by creating your own workflow.

Use TA: SWDD to create and define the workflow steps.
