Add custom field on SRM portal

Hi guys,

I have added a custom field on SRM portal in item details(Shoping cart), using enhancement in Standard web dynpro application.

Added that field in the tab called Source of Supply(SOS).

Now the issue is the controlling of that custom field.

How to control that custom field properties?

I mean how we can edit and enter the data and save for that shopping cart.

Hi Ravi,

You should be able to control it in the following path:

SPRO->..

  SRM Server

     Cross-Application Basic Settings

         Extensions and Field Control (Personalization)

             Configure Field Control

                  Configure Control for Fields on Item Level

                     Metadata for Fields on Item Level

Here, you can insert one entry for this Z-field and set it visible, enabled, etc.

I have already done that process, but it is adding only first tab i.e ITEM tab.

Need to add Source of Supply tab.

If the custom field is not displayed at all.

Then I need to check all your configurations done until now.

Any improper step may cause this.

The custom field is displaying on SRM portal, but i am unable to do controlling thet custom field.

I mean how to edit that custom field and enter the data manually after that the data should be saved.

How it is possible?

1, SRM server used for your system

2, are you creating limit SC for testing?

3, in item overview, will value be saved for custom filed?

Hi lvy,

1) SRM server using for our system.

2) I have the SC which is already created by FD.

3) In item overview, the custom field is not editing, it is always in display mode even when we click on edit on srm portal.

You misunderstand my questions:

1, what is the release of your SRM server, including the SP?

2, I am wondering if the issue only happened for limit SC. If you encounter issue while creating normal SC, please let me know.

3, In this situation, please set the custom field as 'field editable' and test again if value can be saved in item detail.
