Dont post it through JiIH for incoming Excise , J1iH is for manual Excise amount adjustment.
J1iex for for Automatic Excise posting , And the flow will be PO, GR and part 1 , Excise posting , Miro for Inv booking.
It has a link to follow , i.e document flow associated to it and certain tables need to update which will be used for the utilization process also.
Also If its not done Via J1iEX , status will not get completed in system and it will show pending .etc ect
J1ih is for Manual adjustment posting. we say a manual JV pass .

J1IH is used for an settelment for excise which is called as JV , you cannot use J1IH for excise capturing for Incoming goods either you can use the option given in MIGO or J1IEX_C

Dear Gaurav
J1IH is for exceptional cases. you should not use this for regular transactions, perticularly for cenvat posting.
if you availed more cenvat than actual use Other Adjustment
if you availed less than actual, use Additional Excise.
for regular CENVAT AVAILMENT, use J1IEX ONLY.
