Hi all,
We have installed MI 2.5 Client SP13 P03 (over CrEme 3.26) and MAM 2.5 SR2 in a PDA with 64MB RAM + 64MB ROM. After the initial synchronizations, when we start using MAM (entering notes, orders, etc) the PDA freezes and we have to make a cold boot, which erases all programs from the RAM, including MI.
By the PDA design, only data stored under /Applications folder will be kept after a cold boot. We are now trying, until now without success, to install CrEme and MI in other places (under /Applications or in a Flash Card) to overcome the problem of the data being lost after a cold boot.
Meanwhile, the original problem still persists: the PDA is freezing because the memory is exhausted after installing CrEme, MI, MAM and synchronizing. As we used SAP documentation to ask for a 64+64MB PDA, we thought it would be enough, but it seems it isn't.
Does anybody know a way to minimize the memory usage of MAM, either by using less storage space (where the programs are kept - we have approximately 14MB of programs + 10MB of synchronization data) or by using less program space (where the programs are executed - we have approximately 26MB of used memory BEFORE we start navigating through MAM, when the PDA freezes)?
Thanks,
Daniel
