Does right click work for t-codes PPOSE,PPOME on Personas?

Hi,

I would like to verify with others using Personas wheather options pop up on right click for PPOSE and PPOME transactions?

It works for other t-codes which have options on right click like ME52N, ME21N etc

Screen prints attached below for reference from SAP GUI and Personas.

We are on Personas 2.0 SP01 which should be equivalent to Personas 1.0 SP03.

Hi Geetha,

It should work and i just connected to couple of systems and work for me.

Right click and "Silverlight" should only show up when you right click outside the frame.

Thanks for the reply Sushant.

But sorry its different on our system, with PPOSE and PPOME screens we tend to see below problems

1. They take time loading the basic view and occupy >20megabytes memory
2. Right click only shows 'Sliverlight' where ever right click options are expected
3. When we search for a person, position.. etc using Find button on left hand side, control does not auto-scroll down and point to the person in question which happens naturally in SAP GUI screens.
4. Also it goes non-responsive at times and does session time outs further leaving a trail of multiple unclosed sessions on SM04 as seen below.

There was a single browser for personas opened while below sessions were monitored on SM04

For information, ITS tuning was done on our systems as suggested.An OSS was raised on this - 3909/2014.

Is there anything we can do about this on our system please?

Hi Geetha,

Well i got a chance to get into your system and i was sailing in your transaction PPOSE. I even created a flavor (using the 1st user provided in secured section) and clicked all around including right click. Everything looked normal to me.

Also, one very important thing you need to fix in your system is switching ON the compression for service "persos_app". I noticed for one of your flavor, Personas was getting ~12MB of uncompressed data which is a lot. So when the first time flavor loads, it will take quiet a bit of time.

Coming back to PPOSE, can you provide some more detail so that I can recreate the issue. Have you tried in any other laptop/system? Or even any specific data i need to use which you are using.

Let me know if you have some data or exact scenario which you can tell and update in the message.

Coincidentally the userids that I have worked with before and the end users who tested have the same problem. After your reply I tried with further more test userids and the right click works(am happy to know that it actually works on our end) however I see that it’s not consistent for some reason owing to the fact that I logged on with my userid from my system and the right click shows Sliverlight as usual to me and later I logged on with another test userid from the same system but now the right click works alright.The roles assigned and access to Personas is all the same.

I have also tried to access the transaction from other laptops but shows no difference.

Would you like to try once with another userid which seem to have the problem please? You can find details in our secure area.

We did set the service to compressed mode now thank you.
