Export to CSV from CR2008

We have CR 2008 installed 12.4.0.966. I have built a report and am displaying it through a vb.net application using a crystal reports viewer control (v 12.0.2000.0 control)

When we run the report, the option to export to CSV is not available. When I am in the report designer it is there, but not when I use the .net control. We are using VS 2008.

    Hi Chris,

    Known limitation, the standard Viewer export types are:

    ( PS - XML may be an option with manual work around )

    If you want the others you have to create your own custom Export button and do the coding required for options and features. You can turn off the Viewers Export button and handle them all or just the missing ones.

    This is done to match what the BOE 3.1 system allows.

    In CR for VS 2010/2012/( soon to be 2013 ) you can enable all or none of the export types in code from our Export Button:

    // set up the format export types:

    int myExOpts = (int)(

    CrystalDecisions.Shared.ViewerExportFormats.WordFormat |

    CrystalDecisions.Shared.ViewerExportFormats.XmlFormat |

    CrystalDecisions.Shared.ViewerExportFormats.ExcelFormat |

    CrystalDecisions.Shared.ViewerExportFormats.ExcelRecordFormat);

    //CrystalDecisions.Shared.ViewerExportFormats.NoFormat); // no exports allowed

    //int myExOpts = (int)(CrystalDecisions.Shared.ViewerExportFormats.AllFormats); // All

    crystalReportViewer1.AllowedExportFormats = myExOpts;

    Thanks

    Don
