HCM Processes and Forms by FPM

Hi Experts,

I need help from you that recently we installed HR Renewal 1.0 and developed FPM form and now it should get integrate to portal for HR Admin Role.

I am facing a problem to get it integrate to Portal as I don't have much idea on portal design and my portal consultant is new to this HCM Processes and forms area. Problem is I need to get it integrate to HRAdmin role on Portal.

1Q. I created configuration using Launch Pad. To appear on to portal under HRAdmin Tab what is the role that I need to use in ECC backend and on Portal. After assigning roles what should I do to make it visible on portal under HR Admin Tab.

2Q. I am confusing of HRAdmin role and HR Professional role. Here my initiator is HR Admin. Do we have separate role for both or only one role for both or HR Admin concept is removed from the HR Renewal or If I assign Manager role to HR Admin ID does he acts like a manager or HR Admin.

3Q. When I execute to test landing page using HR Professional role, 404 error is occurring. Could not able to see the landing page.

4Q. Gateway is activated. But how to test Gateway whether it is working fine or not.

5Q. OData channel has been configured but landing page is showing nothing with 404 error. I am using internet explorer 11.

These are my problems: A) I would like to know how to integrate created fpm form to portal for HR Admin as I configured in launch pad in ECC.

                                       B) Facing challenges to launch landing page as throwing 404 error.

                                       C) Do we need to install any business packages on Portal for MSS, HR Admin or any portal roles from backend should be uploaded or guide me how to go-ahead.

We implemented MSS Add on 1.0 recently on Portal.

We did not implemented NWBC and planned to use existing enterprise portal. Portal version is 7.0.

I checked all the blogs and fed up as I am not getting answers to above queries as I am very much new to this HR renewal.

Actually this information is important to me.

Just a correction, not necessary that PFCG is for NWBC< now SAP has introduced PFCG roles upload to portal read the above note

You have to ensure your role is using start application ASR_PROCESS_EXECUTE_OVP to call FPM based forms LPD_CUST http://help.sap.com/erp_hcm_ias_2012_03/helpdata/en/ec/4b6f1c7fc3460faba3dcc224d1777e/frameset.htm check Note 1751099 1701634 - HR renewal 1.0: Release Information Note yes hr renewal needs NW 7.3 ie sap recommendation, if it works fine for you then great in NW 7.02

Thanks for your replies. I have gone through all those blogs, but due to certain urgency I could not able to understand certain tasks and posted. Now we are on NW Portal 7.0.1 version. My requirement is HR Admin to initiate the form. I have given the role SAP_ASR_HRADMIN_SR_HCM_CI_4 to HR Admin ID in ECC backend and assigned HRAdmin portal role on portal to same HR Admin ID. Now I am able to see HR Admin Tab and the employee related services appear over there are related to ISR form related services like(Start process for employee, Open Processes etc..). I need a service or iView to execute FPM Form. Do I need to create custom iView. I found one link in SCN as shown below:http://scn.sap.com/thread/3472875. Can I go a head as Linkin Pereira mentioned. Still any more suggestions please advice. Or compulsory do I need to implement Poral 7.3 Version.

PFCG role comes into picture if you intend to use NWBC.

In any case you would  have to create a new service as in the other post - if it is missing in the standard delivery.

First of all  HR admin role in HR renewal for HCM processes and forms and then there is a  HR professional role for doing other activites

the PFCG role created for  HR renewal1.0  is  ‘SAP_ASR_HRADMIN_SR_HCM_CI_4’. As a part of HR renewal 1.0 only PFCG  role is created .Portal role has to be imported from PFCG role.note 0001685257 Also portal version for HR renewal should be 7.3, its mentioned in Admin guide create separate threads for HR professional role error http://scn.sap.com/community/erp/hcm/blog/2013/05/06/hr-renewal--faqs

You are asking a lot more than can be easily posted as a response. There are literally PAGES of documents on this stuff (that you should be reading). Also, how you layout your portal roles and so forth should be driven based on an overall portal strategy/guidance, so this will be very specific to you. Learning how to get there is the important part. You need to read through ALL of the set-up documents for the business content you are asking about. That will help you a lot.

Thanks Solomon. I understand your comment(I am starter found so many blogs but lack of portal knowledge confused). Well I am working on HR Renewal. Developed FPM form and now it should get display on to Portal under HR Admin Tab. Recently installed MSS Add on 1.0 on to portal.  Do I need to implement HR Admin Business Package 1.5 on Portal or not required. I configured role details under launch pad in ECC backend under role HRASR.

Please help me here.
