Agent Determination is not working.

Hi Exparts,

We have created a workflow with decisions step  & Task for the step also we have declared as general TASK. Though workflow is getting agent correctly but its not going to inbox upon checking found Agent is empty .

Here is the screenshot.

   &BUDGETAPPROVER& is the field which determines Approver. Its a Workflow container element

and Task is declared as  ( but also tried all options)

Please help me .

Where are we assigning the value to Budgetapprover? Check that step for issues.

Hi,

1. Check the Rule by giving manual values in PFAC transaction.
2. All the parameter need for rule is transferred or not.
3. Rule --> Task Binding check it out.
4. Make BUDGETAPPROVER element type IMPORT AND EXPORT check box checked.

Hi Biswajit!

First I would temporarily change the expression to &_WF_INITIATOR& and see if it works. Just to make sure it's really the agent determination thing.

Then I would explore the value in  &BUDGETAPPROVER&

What does it look like? Does it have otype in the beginning (first two symbols) ? It should!

What otype is it? If it's not user (US), but some other otype used for indirect, flexible agent determination like position ('S '), job ('C '), org.unit ('O '), person ('P '), etc, then the problem might be solved with SWU_OBUF transaction.

The expression &budgetapprover& which will be evolved in the method will be user id which has to be concatenated with US.Please check in container in log whether its US followed by sap user ID.
