"not synchronized" severity with grey diamond while using GSS for BOM in PLM 7.02 - meaning and options

Hello Experts,

I am using program "/PLMI/R_GSS_B2B_LINK". The source structure copies the components under it to the target structure. However I am getting the Grey Diamond symbol in my source structure when I am changing few components attributes (like its quantity or any other fields under it) after the first synchronization is already completed.

It happens to only few components, for which I read SAP help which tells the corresponding component not found in target structure. However the same component I can see under target structure after first synchronization only.

There is a one component which does not get copied at all (from source to target).

Questions

1. What all I can do when I get grey diamond (not Synchronized) error.

2. What should be strategy to handle this, when I want the source components to get copied (along with attributes) to target structure.

This got resolved with SAP note 1974856.
