Service contracts with many items : performance issues

Hi everyone,

We are working with service contracts counting up to 4000 items. Creating, editing, saving these documents takes up a lot of time.

=> what are the different customizing steps that can be implemented in order to optimize performance on these contracts ?

Many thanks,

Eli

    Hi Eli,

To improve the performance you have to activate CRM_PERFORMANCE and CRM_PERFORMANCE2 business functions, in transaction SFW5 transaction.

    Check theselink to get info:

Performance and Large Contracts - Business Functions for SAP Customer Relationship Management - SAP Library

Performance and Business Transaction Item Processing - Business Functions for SAP Customer Relationship Management - SAP…

Once activated you have to config Performance-Enhanced Item List functionality: Performance-Enhanced Item List - Business Transaction - SAP Library

You can do that in Customer Relationship Management, under Transactions Basic Settings Item List Mode and Item Search Activate Item Search and Define Threshold for Item List Mode

Also this business function allow to use the Asynchronous update Asynchronous Update - Business Transaction - SAP Library

You can also use the Delay Cross-Item Pricing.Performance-Optimized Pricing - Pricing - SAP Library

Customer Relationship Management under Basic Functions Pricing Pricing in the Business Transaction Performance-Optimized Condition Processing and Pricing

    I hope that helps.

    Best regards

    Hello Eli,

Please also consider your CRM Release. As far as I know the Performance-Optimized functionality seems available in CRM 702.

    Regards,

    Webster
