DIAPI Failed

Hi Experts,

I have this issue in DIAPI when I am trying to install it. Please see screenshot below:

I tried to find all suggested answer in the forum but nothing help me to resolve the issue. By the way, here are the activities that I have done until I got this error message.

1.) I have 8.82 installed in my Computer (standalone)

2.) I uninstall all SAP using revo-uninstaller.

3.) I deleted the SBO-Common and existing DEMO DB

4.) I install 2007 SBO (No error occurred during installation)

5.) Upgrade the to 8.8 PL 12

6.) All was successfully upgraded.

7.) Upgrade the client (error message above occurred but the client successfully upgraded).

8.) I check the control panel to uninstall the DIAPI but there's no DIAPI there.

9.) I uninstall and reinstall client but same error occurred.

Do you have any suggestion to resolve the issue? I cannot use DTW because I guess it cause by DIAPI version.

Hi Ardie,

The problem may occur where there is an uncompleted DI API installation, and the installer can not prepare the insallation files.

Try to locate InstallShiled's directory (commonly under C:\Program Files (x86)\InstallShield Installation Information) and delete the folder whose name appears in the error msg you got ({E30C5D6E-D6D2-465D-96E0-FB94CB2BB14D}).

Hi,

One way to clean the old version up is to delete the key from registry showed on your error message.

yes. I am using my laptop. Before I have 8.82 but I need to use 8.8 so I uninstall everything for 8.82 and start fresh installation of 2007 then upgrade to 8.8.

As per above error message, uninstall is not complete. Better check and restart your laptop.

That's the problem. I already used revo uninstaller. It shows all related files to be deleted upon uninstallation. I already repeated the process but the same problem occurred. I don't know which specific registry to be deleted in order to install DIAPI.

Did you installed XL reporter for 8.82 version?

Yes. Old version 8.82 has XL reporter even now the new version (8.8) on my laptop has also XL reporter.

I mean XL reporter. I don't have an issue with XL reporter. I don't need that actually. What I need is the DIAPI. I need to install it but the error above prompt.
