Want to set Delay in Archive log apply at DR site

Hi Experts,

Is there a way to keep delay in applying logs at DR site in DB2 9.1 Fix pack 7.

I noticed that this option is available only after DB2 9.7 fix pack 5 and above using SUPERSYNCH sync

mode. But our client does not want to upgrade the DB right now.

Please suggest me with your valuable info.

Thanks,

Bharath.

    Hello,

In DB2 9.1 HADR configuration, only 3 modes are available- SYNC, NEARSYNC and ASYNC. If you want to delay it then you should use ASYNC mode.

    Thanks,

    Sunny

    • Sunny,

I already referred to documents and links that you suggested me, also referred db2 admin

guide and searched for information over internet but i didn't found any information related to SAP

level activities after initial switch over.

As per my knowledge we need to apply license, import SAP profiles of DR server and TMS

configuration is required. Apart from these any thing else need to do?

Please suggest me with any guide or link where these activities are mentioned.

      Thanks,

      Bharath.

    Hi Bharath,

if you want to facilitate this with your database, I would recommend you to use Libelle Business Shadow or just DBShadow. http://www.libelle.com/en/solutions/libelle-solutions/businessshadow-for-sap-environments/

Especially if you want to have reliable and fast disaster recovery. Up from DB2/DB6 10.1 time leaps are possible for additional cluster nodes in HADR.

    Best regards,

    Marcel
