This morning we have had a small number of users experiencing problems using Infoview using Google Chrome and I believe that an update to Chrome is behind the problem.
The version of Google Chrome that is causing problems is 32.0.1700.76 and we are running version 3.1 of Business Objects.
Once logged into Infoview these were the problems I experienced:
Logging out and restarting Chrome, Business Objects and my laptop have made no difference and the problem remains.
I have consulted with my colleagues and they are running older versions of Chrome (31.0.1650.63, 32.0.1700.41 and 31.0.1650.63) and do not experience any of these problems.
Has anyone faced a similar problem to this and know if there is a way to overcome it? We are also unsure if Business Objects 3.1 actually supports Google Chrome and if we should stick to using Firefox or Internet Explorer. A colleague believes that it could have something to do with Chrome failing communicating with JRE, but so far we haven't been able to prove this.
Any support or assistance would be greatly appreciated.
officially Chrome is not supported browser for BO 3.1. Do you have any patches on BO 3.1 system or just Base version?
What version of JRE you are using?

We are experiencing the same issue. Never letting the fact a browser is not supported stop me, for the fun of it I opened the javascript console in Chrome and this is what gets logged when I right-click on a scheduled report. Looks like the right-click event cannot see what control is under it (it is null) and thus cannot get it's tagname property? Let us know if a work-a-round is found. I bet it's an issue with the javascript implementation in Chrome that has changed and there's not much we can do about it I would guess.

Thanks for your replies guys. I will need to ask a colleague regarding our current version of Business Objects 3.1 (for patches).
Can I ask, does SAP have a webpage or a location where it displays information on which browsers are compatible?

HI Dan,
You are richt : Chrome is not supported in Business Objects XI3.1. Only Fire Fox and IE are suuported, but you need to check supported platform for your BO version to know the exacet version of browzer supported.
