Installing KM and Coll .

Hello ,

I have installed EP 6.0 SP 12 without KM and collaboration . I have two questions .

1. I want to upgrade my portal to the SP14 .

2. I want to implement KM and Collaboration ( SP14 ).

Could anybody let me know the procedure for this .

1. Could you brief the steps about installing the KM and coll SP12 .

2. How do I make the server to the safe mode .

Also I could not find the radio button in SDN to award the points !!

Hi, Aneez

For make Server in safe mode do following

run config tool from following

<drive:\>usr\sap\sid\jc<instancenumber>\j2ee\configtool\configtool.bat

on click on file->safe mode

select safe mode enabled and ur instance number from dropdown

from file -> Apply and exit and restart the J2ee server

The KM + Coll. installation same as portal installation

run sapinst.exe from ur SP12 master cd

u just select contentmanagement + colloboration installation

and give appropriate input.

Hi Aneez,

before applying SP14 for WAS and Portal u should install

Content + Collaboration SP12 in ur system

after that applying patch for WebAs SP14 and than after

Portal + KM patch SP14

Befor applying SP14 make sure ur server is running in safe mode

Check the steps for the "3.2 SAP Web AS Java" upgrade and after that the steps for "2.3 SAP Enterprise Portal"
