Mapping stock on 2 different dates in APO

Former Member

Hi,

I am trying to map restricted batch stock to 2 different key figures on 2 different dates in APO.

Settings as follows:

I have a restricted batch with date of production as 14/01/2014

The availability date of the batch stock is 18/01/2014

By default the restricted stock is mapped to CK category in APO, which is assigned to key figure 1

The requirement is:

1. In Key figure 1: restricted stock should be seen available on 14/01/2014

2. In Key figure 2: restricted stock should be seen available on 18/01/2014

Thanks,

Kedar

Hi Kedar

You can try in following lines

As you cannot have 2 dates in a stock category, it can be just one availability date, you may try to create a new custom Categories (Non SAP category) of type stock say ZK. Use CIF user exit for stock to duplicate it. Apart form regular CK category, bring it with this ZK category and availability date as production date. Assign this ZK to KF 1 and CK to KF 2.

Hi Abhishek,

I have tried this option and the problem I am facing is that since the batch reference is the same for both CK and ZK category, whenever we update date it gets reflected on both the stock categories.

In case you have done a similar requirement, could you let me know the CIF user exit which will help achieve this behavior? CK category should be displayed on date of production and ZK category displayed on availability date and both are referencing the same batch

Currently I have CIFed the standard shelf life characteristics and written a user exit macro to display the stock in a different bucket in APO.

However if the user exit works, it will help a lot.

Please let me know.

Thanks,

Hi Kedar,

I am no expert but I will pretend for a while.

I do recall one thing for sure that something was done in inbound CIF exit for stocks in APO to change the availability and requirement dates of several ATP categories at an old client where some pessimism was needed wrt valuation of cumulative ATP quantity.. I could see the same in first column of RRPx. The avl/req dates here were not same as in the ECC orders. I dont fully know the business motivation was doing so. You can probably also use ECC CIF outbound exit for stock as well for doing the same. Just that you know the provision exists on both sides..

What do you mean by production date?. start, finish ? it has to go somewhere- restricted or unrestricted in sometime ? just a plain q. How are you planning to evaluate ATP quantity eventually? ... just for my curiosity

Thanks

Hi Kedar,

You can try the CIF user exit for stock, based on the criteria you can bring these stocks with different ATP categories. Or else if you maintain the restricted batch at different storage location then based on storage location you can bring the stock to APO with different ATP category and you can decide whether the batch can be used for planning or not.

Hi Kedar,

I don't think this can be achieved in SNP since we display the orders based on the I/O time which is the availibility date. I even wordering if the production date is available in APO but you can figure this in product view, maybe it is seen as the start date? Then if the production date is available, you have to see if this could be achieved with macros (maybe macro with user exit).

Best regards,

Cyrille.
