Error : Change the inspection stock of material in QM only

Dear experts,

                        I am trying to cancel the GR document done with reference to purchase order, inspection type 01, UD already completed for the inspection lot and stock posting is also done from QI to Unrestricted usage. We are using the customized program for reversing the stock from unrestricted to QI. We have also reversed the stock from Unrestricted to QI stock.

When cancelling the GR document in MIGO, I am receiving the error,

  "Change the Inspection stock in QM only"

Error Message : QA495

  I have attached the Detailed error description and the Inspection lot status in the attachment

Please provide the solution

Hi,

When You post the Stock from QI to Unrestricted through UD. Standard System doesn't work on Cancel GR. Please Check the OSS note 175842 for that.

After Implement note then do Reversal of Posting from Unresticted to QI. Once the stock comes in QI, then do Cancellation of Material Document (Tcode MBST).

If you have not implemented the UD reversal program as Rahul suggested, then I believe your customization program is bringing it back into QI using 08 inspection type and 322 movement.

Is 08 activated for this material? Do you get inspection lot with origin 08 after reversing the quantity in to QI?

Dear sir,

                    The customized program brings the stock posted in Unrestricted usage back to the Quality stock, this is working fine for all the materials with 01 inspection type with 08 and without 08 inspection type also.

But for this material 08 is in active.

Please suggest how to clear the error

Hi Bala,

As system Status shows SPRQ, I don't see any problem cancelling GR.

Can you check the movement type while cancelling GR, I think you have already cancelled that GR, and again attempting to Cancel GR, here System is considering 101 movement, and so it will give the same Error. Also check status of Inspection lot again.

It happened with me as well after I ran a similar test case. After reversing the quantity into QI, I cancelled the GR (movement type 102). When I tried to do it again I got the similar error.

Bala, Please check the suggestion Amol stated. You must be seeing the same error as attached.

Have you done it before even when usage decision has been done. Because this time what i see that UD has not been reversed. So you can not able to cancel inspection lot.

                I have reversed the UD postings, I have done this several times, GR will be reversed without any issue once stock posting is reversed

Hi,

I think You are doing (Tcode MIGO)GR against PO by selecting Goods Receipt, Purchase Order. & Entering PO No., At that time you are getting error.

Do following Steps for Cancellation-

MIGO -> Select Cancellation -> Material Document -> enter required Posting Date -> Check & Post.

Check someone has removed the inspection type 01 or made it inactive for that material.

Check the same and try gain but make sure that inspection lot has status SPRQ

Because until and unless inspection lot has status SPRQ then there is not problem while cancelling the material document.

                  Inspection type 01 is active, it has not be changed, I checked in MM changes.

Lot status is still in SPRQ only

Dear Bala,

Earlier you have done it than what is the system status of that inspection lot. Compare it with earlier inspection lot.
