Hi,

I have a unique request from the Customer. first, the User enters prompts values as City and State values and retrieves the Sales for those cities. The Webi report looks like this

City               State     Sales

Fremont            CA      120,000

San Diego         CA      90,000

Sales numbers should be hyperlink. When the User clicks on Sales of Fremont, then a new report should open up with all list of stores and sales for Fremont. Similarly for San Diego.

Can you please provide a solution for this for Business Objects 4.0 SP5
Your response will be appreciated. Thanks for your time.

Hi,

Create two reports. Parent and Child report.

Parent report will have prompt on State and City.

Child report will contain Store and Sales information with prompt on State and City.

Create hyperlink on sales column in parent report. pass State and City to child report.

Hi Victor,

Thanks for providing the link.

I'm not able see the Document in Linking tab (in webi rich client). I have BO 4.0 SP6 client tools.

Is there any other solution for this approach.

thanks,

Raghu

Hi Thota,

that dialog is not available in the rich client or java applet, only in web mode (dhtml).

Just open an existing report with double click and then that dialog will appear.
