SAP ME Application fails on create or update MESYS user: Failed

Hello all,

I patched MII_admin and XMII from 14.02 to 14.04 and SAPMECORE, SAPMECTC, SAPMEINT, SAPMEINTCTC from 6.1.2 to 6.1.4

I found note

1944314 - SAP ME 6.1 SP04 Patch 0 Release Notes

I started the wizard for SAP ME Database and Data Migration for Upgrade  and  SAPMEIT Migration

At SAPMEIT Migration Im facing the error: 

SAP ME Application fails on create or update MESYS user: Failed

I did not changed the password

Pls advice

Any idea why user MESYS is getting locked after starting the SAPMEINT migration wizard?

The most likely cause is that when the CTC installer was re-executed, the wrong password was supplied for an existing MESYS user. The interface will instigate 3 failed login attempts as soon as it startes and the account gets locked.

Hello,

Check NW trace log for an error message behind it. Maybe it will tell you more on what's happening. As a workaround I guess you could try deleting MESYS user from the system and let wizard add it again.

The step in SAPMEINT Migration WIzard ended with skipped steps ( I deleted the MESYS user, but the wizard still didnt re-created it) and in the end I see View Log part: and there there is not error, everything is green.

Hi Chris,

This error is not relevant to MEINT migration. Check NW log viewer -> Developer Traces view.
