Error while doing GRN

Hi Experts,

while doing the GRN system showing below error and we searched in the forum but not got correct solution.

Though we have maintained the storage location in the Material master (MM01) and we have crossed check but still we are facing the problem kindly guide us.

error message :-

(Material 130123 S1 S1 does not exist

Message no. M7006

Diagnosis

For material 130123, no material master data exists in plant S1storage locationS1.

Procedure

Make sure your entries are correct.

If your entries are correct, then storage location data does not yet exist for the material.

Storage location data is created when you maintain the Storage view for the material or use the 'Enter Storage Locations' function in the material master menu or post the first goods receipt (provided that automatic creation of storage location data is allowed for the given plant and movement type).

and please guide how to maintain the Number ranges for GRN.

Can you post a screen shot that shows that this storage location exists (table MARD for example)

or MM03 storage location view

we tried in the MM03 also and we have crossed too, we have maintained all the necessary details for the Storage location .but still we are facing this error .

does it mean that you see plant number S1 and storage location S1 in the storage lcoation views under the material number?

Hi,

go to MMSC tcode, enter plant and material then press enter,

maintain the storage loc for which you want to perform Goods receipt and save data

again do the goods receipt in MIGO

Cant you just say YES or NO

this answer "i have given both plant code is S1 and storage location also S1." does not tell me anything.

This can mean that you get the same error message after you pressed enter.

That means you storage location is NOT maintained, you have to extend the material with MM01 to this storage location, alternative with MMSC as said by KJ.

Even better using the customizing setting to automatically create storage location views in material master with the first receipt. This saves some work. disadvantage is that you get eventually an unwanted storage location view in case of GR to the wrong storage location

Not possible...

Check it correctly...

If your PO was created successfully, then its clear that your plant is correct.

Now this is an error about storage location.

Go to MMSC

Give the material and plant, then check the storage location.

Can you here S1 entry...

Please post screens of MIGO and MMSC,

if you have maintained the material in Storage loc then the error would not come,

Then from my side one sentence is coming...

"This is not possible"

If your storage location is shown in MMSC, System will never shows this message during MIGO.
