Hi
I have a report ,where the boxes i added will not align at the bottom of a page.
I have grouped the report in 3 groups,
suppressing the details line , I am using GF3 as the details line.
I have a box, that covers G1, another for G2 and another to cover each record on G3.
However I am struggling to get them to align at the bottom of the page, when G1 runs to the next page. (see image)
Using Crystal Reports 2008
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Rachael
Hi
Sorry for the delay in getting back to you,
I am only in work twice a week.
I have attached a screen shot of design view.
I am going to try putting everything on G3 and see if I can get that to work.
Any other suggestions would be appreciated.
Will let you know if that works.
Should get it done today.
Thanks
Rachael

Expand the box in GF3 so that the bottom of the box is at the very top of GF2, aligned with the top of the box in GF2. You should also lengthen the vertical line in GF3 so that it goes to the top of the box in GF2. To get the lines between the records in GF3, add a line under the data in GF3. If any of the GF3 data has "Can Grow" turned on, you would actually create a second GF3 section and put the line there so that it will always be at the bottom of the data instead of in the middle of a field that has grown.

hi Rachael,
please see the attachment. extract the file contents and change the .txt extension to .rpt.
- the box to wrap the group 1 objects needs to go up to the bottom of the Page Header to GF3
- the box to wrap the group 2 objects needs to go up to GH3 to GF2
- the box to wrap the group 3 objects needs to go up to the details section to GF3
notes
- when the Extend to Bottom of Section is used in the boxes.
- you'll need a suppression formula for the group 1 objects so they don't repeat for each gf3
- you'll need a formula for any group1 or group2 summaries if used in gf3
working with boxes and lines that span multiple sections is very tricky as you probably know...looking at the report design for the group footers, it looks like you've only got a couple of objects per section...did you look into using a cross tab for this instead?
hi Rachael,
i am assuming that GF1 & GF2 &GF3 are always aligned (i.e. there is no conditional formula for the underlay) and you have no other groups...if so, you may wish to consider moving the contents of GF1 & GF2 to GF3 and then you can align objects in one section. GF1 & GF2 can then be suppressed.
if this doesn't work, please attach a screenshot as per Abhilash's request.
cheers,
jamie

Hi Rachael,
Would you be able to attach a screenshot of the design page too?
