SQL Server 2008 R2 SP3

Hi

I am running SQL Server 2008 R2 SP1 and SAP B1 8.82 PL13.  I would like to upgrade SQL to SP3, is the version of SAP I am running compatible ?

I can find documentation which states SQL Server 2008 R2 as compatible but no mention of the Service Pack levels, is the SP level irrelevant ?

Is anyone else running on SQL 2008 R2 SP3 ?

Regards

Gary

Hi Gary,

please check the page Jimmy referenced in detail, http://service.sap.com/smb/sbo/platforms. There you'll find the answer to your questions: "Service Packs delivered by Microsoft in the course of a product's lifecycle will no longer be tested separately, but will automatically be officially supported for SAP Business One."

Actually there's no reason filing an incident for SAP support.

Hope this helps,

Peter

Hi Gary,

Checked with System requirements  and SQL admin guide for 2008 R2 that, nothing is mentioned about service pack levels. Note that, you also need check windows server.

Better check with SAP support.

Thanks & Regards,

You can search the information related to supported plaftorm for SAP B1 in this link:

http://service.sap.com/smb/sbo/platforms

Based on my check, the SQL server 2008 R2 standard edition are suppported database platform for SAP B1 including its service pack.
