JCO_ERROR_LOGON_FAILURE in Information design tool

Hello

I am trying to create BICS connection between Business Objects 4.1 and BW 7.3 in Information design tool and getting following error

com.sap.conn.jco.JCoException: (103) JCO_ERROR_LOGON_FAILURE: Issuer of SSO ticket is not authorized on .........

We have already configured SSO using STS between BOBJ 4.1 and BW 7.3 systems.

We are able to log into Portal with SSO, we are able to log into Universe design tool and create universe with SSO options.

We are able to create WEBI reports from the universe.

But unable to use IDT to create UNX because SSO option gives the above error.

Thank you very much for help.

Suman

This is a issue with the STS in the APS. Follow the KBA below

1836272 - Security Token service (STS) fails intermittently

      Thank you

The issue got fixed after we changed the system ID value to UPPER CAS in CMC->AUTHENTICATION->SAP->OPTIONS TAB->SYSTEM ID.

We entered our BOBJ Server in System ID, but in lower case, because that is the name of the BOBJ server/node.

But the System ID that the STRUSTSSO2 in BW creates is Upper Case (even though we provided is lower case). But when we rechecked we found that the System ID it created is Upper Case.

So we came back and changed the System ID in BOBJ CMC and it all worked, So I guess it is case sensitive.

      Thanks anyways :-)
