PB15 Beta - triggering resize event on tabpage in Windows 8.1

I have run into a potential Beta issue.

I have some 'PFC style' resize logic in a window wherein when its size is changed some ancestor code is run which loops through the control array of the window and triggers the resize event on each control.

Now the tabpage control does not have a resize event script but so what, it should just silently fail.

On a 64 Windows 7 machine the window works fine. On a Windows 8.1 machine PB stops working and shuts down.

Will post further information as it is revealed to me...

Matt

    Okay, got the issue resolved.

    The code is using the 'PFC window resize service' paradigm (create service on window, register objects you wish to resize when the window resizes, then trigger the resize event on the service when the window resizes).

    This is the code in the window that creates the service and registers the objects.

    //Create resize non-visual object

    inv_resize = create n_paragon_cst_resize

    //Set the original size

    inv_resize.of_SetOrigSize(4631, 2560)

    //Set the minimum size

    inv_resize.of_SetMinSize(3000, 2000)

    inv_resize.of_Register(tab_1, 'ScaleToBottom')

    inv_resize.of_Register(dw_1, 'ScaleToBottom')

    inv_resize.of_Register(tab_1.tabpage_1, 'ScaleToBottom')

    inv_resize.of_Register(tab_1.tabpage_1.dw_items, 'ScaleToBottom')

    inv_resize.of_Register(tab_1.tabpage_2, 'ScaleToBottom')

    inv_resize.of_Register(tab_1.tabpage_2.dw_prefs, 'ScaleToBottom')

    When I remove the of_Register call for tabpage_1 and tabpage_2 the window works fine. Registering the objects means they have the resize event triggered on them when the window size changes.

    The code works fine in Windows 7 64bit but not in Windows 8.1. I consider this to be more of a bug in our code since the tabpage object does not need to be registered for this functionality to work.

    Might work if you map the resize event on the tabpage... Just a thought
