Huge Tag lag for 1 USER in accessing PA20, PA30 and PA40

Hi All

Seek your experienced advise to find RCA for this issue:

Only 1 USER in our system is experiencing a huge (as high as 5 mins) to access PA30 , PA20 and PA40 screens after having eneterd the Tcode in Easy access menu and pressed enter.

We have reviewed all role and authorizations and found no issue. Basis team also saying that only for this user the execution time is exceptionally high for only these Tcodes.

User also confirmed that she faces this time lag only for these 3 Tcodes and can work swiftly for all other tcodes.

So we are clueless whats causing the issue.

Any inputs / advise / clues highly appreciated.

Thanks

Sarika

    Hi Sarika,

If the issue is restricted to one user, then the issue is likely to be one or both of the following

    - they have a large list of employees resulting from the search in their Object Manager favourites on PA20/30/40

    - structural indexing is not switched on, and it is taking a long time to calculate the employees in their structural profile that they have access to, assuming they don't have access to all employee ('*')

Check whether there are a large number of employees in their object manager and get the user to delete the search critieria and try again. Otherwise try running the program RH_DELETE_OM_USER_SETTINGS for the userID.

If the issue is their structural profile, then I recommend you look into structural indexing.

    Roger.

    Thank you so much Roger.

Hiding the Object Manager in PA30 through Setting --> Hide object manager resolved the issue ...
