PT_BAL00 showing .5 less Hours

Former Member

Hi All,

I am new to time management and have the following issue:

In Cats employee has filled up following hours

In IT0002,

If you see From 06:00 to 05:30 hours are 23.5 hours and as you can see it reads 23 hours only

Issue is : When employee keys in the hours in CAT2 with just whole hours.  Not sure how the overview attendances is effective the From and To hours.   Also Total hours should be 23 plus 17 for a total of 40 and it came across into the PT_BAL00 as 39.5 Vacation Payout and 8 hour Vacation was recorded as 7.5 hours.

Please help me to correct these entries to 8 and 40hrs respectively. I dont know the steps to follow and what is the issue here.

Appreciate a quick reply on the same

Regards,

Bhupesh

HI Bhupesh,

have you checked to daily work schedule the employee has assigned on that day (quickest eay to check it is through the work schedule button in the infotype 0007 screen)?

I suspect there is a half hour break in there.

IF so and you take that break out it probably looks different. may need to go into IT 2002 in change mode and press ENTER for recalculation.

kind regards

Hi Bupesh,

well, if you want all hours to count with no break deducted, then you need to take the break out - just clear the field work break schedule in the daily work schedule.

Then generate all work schedule rules affected again.

IF you are unfamiliar with basic work schedule config, you may want to search the SCN wiki or standard documentation for it.

Make sure this workschedule isn't used in any other context, where the break is actually needed.

Once the config changes are done, I guess you will need to  get the attendances recalculated formthe exsiting data. Report RPTUPD00 should do this for you in infotype 2002 (it creates a batch input you need to run).

CHeck, whether it also needs re-calculation in other modules CATS was writing to (e.g. CO, or PD). If so, you probably need to go into the Cats data again and change it and change it back again, so it registers a change and then run the transfer program again. However, I'd hope the half hour error is only in HR so this last step isn't necessary.

kind regards

Please note that the defaulted working time is connected to "Planned

working time" which could be found in IT0007 or IT2003, and you may

choose whether to take "unpaid break" into consideration in CAT2 screen.

This behavior, can be changed specifying for each Data Entry Profile,

in transaction CAC1.

Once you get into CAC1, choose the target Profile, and around the top

of the screen, you will see section "General settings", there you could

determine whether to check or uncheck the checkbox "No Deductn of

Breaks".

Please check in V_T550A, which break schedule you are using for the

daily workschedule

After that, go to V_T550P and check how the break is set, how long is it

and whether it's paid or unpaid.

can you check what times are transferred in PTEX2000

If you expect 23,5 hours , first thing as indicated check the Daily Work Schedule

are you able to record correct hours in PA30>2002 first? using clock times?

then check in Cat2.

PS

Time in transaction CAT2 is saved in 1/100 hours, not in minutes. If

time entries wouldn't be saved in 1/100 hours but in minutes, rounding

would have to take place in the target components which you are

transferring to.

the default unit for the time entries is 'H' i.e. Unit of Hour and this

entry is maintained in table T006. Please refer this 'Int. meas. unit'

= H  in table T006. Please note that this table is used by other

applications as well.
