Steps to create a standby system after system installation and can we create a standby system by system copy?

Hi ,

We have SAP system ECC 6.0 with EHP 6, OS is AIX 7.1 and database is DB210.1 Fix pack2. I want to create a standby system with production data. Let me know how to go ahead, can i do system copy from production system to create this system data or do i do a separate installation and do db2 refresh. Also let me know what are the steps to keep a SAP system in standby mode.

Yes - you can create the Standby DB2 using the database restore process and activating the HADR configuration.

As mentioned in my previous post , you can create the standby system using the System Copy
( through a DB backup restore ) ....
