Strange Webi document Behavior - it always opens as Excel Sheet

For one of our Webi document/report which was promoted to Production behaves differently than other reports in 4.1 SP2 environment.

As soon as i double click on it, it asks me to save the Excel output of last saved instance.

I checked Output format properties for this document and it's correctly set as "Web Intelligence".

The Refresh on open option on the Document is set to Off

However, if i right click and say view it refreshes, Not sure why it could behave this way !! Any idea?

Also, is there a way on CMC to to set Refresh on Open option as "ON"?

Thanks,

Tilak

    Hi Tilak,

that is the standard behavior of the tool: Double-Click opens the latest instance (in your case as Excel output), not the report itself.

The good news is however, that this behavior is configurable though:

1683651 - In Business Intelligence 4.0, Double Clicking a Webi Report opens the Latest Instance

    Best regards,

    Victor

There is no option from CMC for refresh on open to be on for a report...

Can you post a screenshot how the report prompts for to save as excel..
