Previous employer tax detail

Dear All,

Whenever we maintained Previous employer tax detail (580) for an employee.

It fatches data from previous employer in form 16.

However my client does not want(previous employer tax detail) to reflect in present form16.

Let me know, what to do?

Hi,

You may lock IT-580 record in month of March. i.e. You have to first process the payroll for March with previous employer income, note the tax calculated if any and then lock the IT-580 record. The tax calculated is to be added in custom wage type for additional tax or voluntary tax, this needs to be done to have correct tax for month of March.

The locking of IT-580 record will resolve the issue of form 16.

This is one of the suggestions.

I tryied as mention above.

I delimited record on 31.03.2014

However still records are displaying in FORM16

I did that, however |then 580 is not taking for tax calculation.

My Requirement is, 580 should be considered for tax calculation for tax benefits.

However 580 should not display in FORM16 only.

Have you tried not maintaining the info in Tax Details IT 0580?

Hi Harish,

My requirement is when an employee joins in mid year.

we maintained IT580, after maintaining EE previous employer details it comes in FORM16. This is the standard behaviour.

However my client does not want that. They want to maintained IT580 but does not want, this detail to come in FORM16.

Let me know what to do?

As you mentioned, it is the standard behaviour of system when you are using both standard infotype to store the data and standard report for view.

trying storing the info in any other infotype if it is just for display and try.
