SA38 VS SE38

Hi all,

Greetings!

Could anyone let me know SA38 and SE38 are similar.are both ABAP Editors?

    Hi Chand,

    SA38 = To execute a program

    SE38 = Program editor

    Hi Chand,

    SA38 is for ABAP program execution and SE38 is for everything related to an ABAP program - creating/editing a program, changing attributes, documentation for the program, etc..

    In many of the projects the users are given only SA38 so they can only execute the program and would not have an idea of the underlying ABAP code.
