Need static IPs and Port of HANA Cloud server to by pass my company proxies

Hi Everyone,

When Cloud connectors try to make a SSL tunnel between my Company network and HANA Cloud server, my company proxies don’t consider this tunnel as secure or in the white list, I am getting an error related to authorization. If I can get all the static IPs and ports of hana cloud server, my network team will be able to make a CtoS connectivity between connectors and HANA Cloud server.

Can someone please help me out here?

Thanks

Pranav

    Hi Pranav,

using SAP HANA Cloud Connector (SCC), all that is needed is access to the internet from your network. You write that your company proxy doesn't consider this tunnel secure and you are getting authorization errors. Is it possible that your company is using an HTTPS proxy which requires a proxy user/pwd? In this case, it should just be a matter of correct configuration of the SCC to establish a connection to the cloud, i.e. to fill the proxy settings in the SCC admin UI correctly. Can you please check if this is the case and correctly configured?

    Best regards,

    Timo

      Hi Timo,

I tried https and checked with my network admin on the same. As per him, network admin needs to open my port for specific ips and ports(for hana cloud). Getting admin user for the entire network would not be possible. Which left me with no other choice but to look for ips and port of hana cloud server. Or may be any other way which I am not aware of.

      Thanks

      Pranav

    Hello Pranav,

could you please be more concrete with regard to the error message you get? Is there something stored in the logs?

    Best regards,

    • Hi Pranav,

it's not necessary to bypass the proxy. As already suspected by Timo, your proxy requires authentication. the 407 return code indicates that you need to specify credentials for the proxy. This can be done in the fields user/password that you can see in your screenshot. The easiest way to find out what you need to specify here: try accessing account.hanatrial.ondemand.com with your browser. If this is working nicely check the proxy settings of zour browser and use the same user/pwd for the proxy like the one configured in your browser settings.

      Best regards,

      Markus
