DBAcockpit connection <SID> cannot be established

Hi,

We are facing below issue while performing "Enter System Parameters" step of the managed system configuration for the satellite system.

The DBACockpit connection cannot be establised

An error occurred during connection setup.

Exception CX_DB6_SYS in class CL_DB6_SYS method line 0 / RC=System not found

Error creating connection object '%_<SID>_<hostname>_'

We have already implemented the correction instructions as per the sap note 1850913 and 1741919 in solution manager. Also, the tnsnames.ora details of the satellite system is copied to solution manager tnsnames.ora.

We are using solution manager 7.1 SP08 and DB is oracle.

Any suggestion please.

Regards,

Neha

HI Neha,

The error you have pasted came once  database information maintained correctly as per tnsnames.ora.

Check the user you are using in dbacockpit configuration.

Try to connect the oracle with the user/password if it is correct.

or

I believe you have used sapsr3db or sapsr3, change the user to system & test the connection.

Hi Neha,

Is the satellite system in cluster ? Have you entered correct parameters specially hostname of Database ?

Please check below and then try to execute step again :

  • Correct database details like hostname and version are updated in SLD and LMDB
  • Is Solution Manager Central SLD which is receiving data from satellite system via data supplier or there is seperate Central SLD ?
  • Check SLD Model and CR content is up-to-date for both SLD's as per SAP Note 669669 - Updating the SAP Component Repository in the SLD

Hope this helps.

Thanks & Regards,

Nisha

Hi Nisha,

The DB details are maintained correctly the SOLMAN SLD. Also, SLD model and CR content is up-to-date for solution manager.

Hi Neha,

Please try copying tnsnames.ora details of the satellite system to Solution manager system at both the locations mentioned below:

1. /usr/sap/<SID>/sys/profile

2. /oracle/<SID>/112_64/network/admin.

Hi Neha

For connecting to the remote Oracle DB , please check if your TNSNAMES.ORA file is containing the information for the remote DB ..

In your central system , login to Operating System and give :

TNSPING  <SID>    ( SID of the remote system ) -

is the above working fine ?

Thanks

Rishi

Hi Rishi/Sunny,

The tnsnames.ora details of satellite system is already copied to solution manager on both the locations. Also tnsping is successful.
