Empty Measure Set

Dear All,

Background

We have one database that has 4 companies KPIs.

Problem

A sudden situation arose when few of my measure sets went blank for one company. As an admin, i did not work on this database for last 15 days and the backup (15 days old) shows that the measure sets have the KPIs in it.

Some Measure sets have lost partial data as well.

Any clue where the problem could be.

Thanks

Mo

Luis,

When we go to Data Entry Sheets and create Measure Set, we select measures and save it.

I created a around 30 measure sets for various KPI owners. They all were working fine for 1 year and users have entered all the values as well.

Now the situation is this that out of 30 , 7-8 measures sets have gone blank suddenly and it is written as EMPTY SET on them. Since the measures are gone, the historical data is also lost.

This is a situation and i am trying to think what went wrong that lead to this situation.

hope it is clear now.

Thanks

Mo,

Normally when you see the comment EMPTY SET it suggestes that all the elements have been moved to another Metric Set but the old Metric set has not been deleted. If they have been moved then the data associated with those elements should be there still sitting in those new metric sets!

As a test you could create a new metric set and try to add one of the lements that appears to have been lost. When you do so you will see which metric that element is now included in in the right hand column. It could be that when doing some updates to matric sets someone has unintentionally checked the Select all box and moved elements they did not intend to! If there is no metric set name next to the element that is more concerning
