Software Logistics Toolset 1.0 Support , SUM sp06 to SP09, how to install ?

Hi

We have a installation of SAP Portal that need update of the SUM SP06 to SP09.

Does someone know of documentation on SAP that could help on this matter ?
I already have been on the SL Toolset page/blogs and there is no information there that could help on this

http://service.sap.com/sltoolset

The Software Logistics Toolset 1.0 Support page, doesn't have information about how to do this and the SUM tool doesn't install *.SAR files what is the file SUM10SP09_0-20006676.SAR to make the update.

On the other hand I already read some notes where is said that JSPM could not be used to do this, because the SUM substitutes the JSPM tool.

Best Regards

    You need to follow the

Update of SAP Systems Using Software Update Manager 1.0 SP09

guide. Simply extract the SUM archive, invoke the server and GUI part of it according to the documentation.

    Hello

If you are planning to install a new SAP system then you need to use SWPM

If you are planning to upgrade an existing SAP system then you need to use the SUM tool.

You need to download the latest installation or upgrade guide from here.

    Hi Silvia,

You need to follow as below

    1. You need to add the system in solman

    2. Configure the manage system for the system in solman

    3. Generate the stack.xml file

    4. download the software required

    5. Applied it through SUM.

Since you are on SPS6 , you can perform the activity through JSPM as well.

But you might face some issue so it will be better if you go with SUM.

You can use telnet command to deploy the software component as well(but you might face dependency issue as a result your system will not come up )

    With Regards
