APP with Profit Center

Dear All,

My client wants to use the APP feature, however they are more on profit center and therefore do not have any business areas configured. So as an alternative solution, can i create business areas and use some substitution rule to populate the profit center value in BA field ? In this way I can probably use the APP feature. Pls advise what are the implications of introducing BA which will work paralelly with profit center ?

SAP does not support Free Selection in F110 on the basis of PC... Thats a system limitation

In that case , whats the use of Free Selection tab in F110 ? not only profit center, I see many other options are there as well.

Why to make such a complex setting plus primary question is Business Area have a lenght of 4 Characters and Profit Center have a character length of 10, how both could be compared?

In F110, under Free Selection - Select - BSEG - PRCTR to restrict the Document Profit Center wise.

Business Area creation is an Organizational Structure Element, whicht to the best of my knowledge should not be utilized for mapping the same.

Do revert if any further details or explanation required.

I tried this, if i keep the free selection empty then system is able to catch the open line items. However the moment i select the profit center and put the value i get an error. attached screen shot. Pls advice

Hi,

Sorry for delay in response. Please check if under any Proposal Run, the documents are blocked for the Vendor.

Check other Proposal Run in which the same Vendor is blocked.
