All our KPIs are based on Fiscal year. Is it possible to create one manual KPI which is base on calendar year (among all the other KPIs that based on Fiscal year)?

    Hi Bindi,

I hate to say anything is impossible but this would be very very very difficult. The problem is that you can't do that calculation in run-time to override the user changing from monthly to annual or year to date in the front end.

Would a Moving Annual Total be any good to you so that you always have the figure for the last 12 months?

    • Hi Bindi,

Moving Annual Total is the figure for the last 12 months ie 12 months Jan - Dec, Feb - Jan, Mar-Feb etc. As you are using SSM 7.5 you could then create a report showing the calendar year to present the monthly actual and target values using the mark this page function to generate a link to include in the Associated Links field for that KPI so that users who wanted to see the individual month values could do. (You can vote for my suggestion in the Ideas Place to put 'Mark this page' back into Reports and Dashboards! It is not there in 10.1 either.)

I know this is not what you were asking for exactly but the best I can suggest. A while back we tried doing just what you were asking for another customer and every trick we tried to work around it kept falling down. I am not saying this is impossible but as yet we've not been able to crack it.
